Remove the radio
Remove the trim panel around the radio (on Volvo S40, V50, C30 etc. this is a large centre console panel with clip connections). On older models (S70, V70) DIN extraction tools are available for the radio.

Read the serial number
The serial number on the label on the side or top of the radio starts with "VO" (e.g. VO670FX1234567). Note it in full, including letters. Distinguish the letter O from the digit 0.

Enter the serial number
Enter the full serial number below. After receiving the unlock code, enter it using the preset buttons or the touchscreen of the Volvo radio, depending on the model.
