Remove the radio
Remove the centre console panel around the radio using a plastic pry tool (clip connections). On most Jeep models (Cherokee, Compass, Wrangler) the entire centre panel clips off. Jeep uses the same radio system as Chrysler (Chrysler Group).

Read the serial number
The serial number is on the label on the side of the radio. This can be a short format (e.g. TM9) or a longer alphanumeric number (e.g. T00AM1234). Note it exactly as shown on the label.
