Remove the radio
On most Porsche models (911, Boxster, Cayenne) the radio is accessible via the centre console panel. Remove the trim ring using a plastic pry tool (clip connections). Some models have Torx screws behind the centre console.

Read the serial number
The serial number on the label on the side or top of the radio starts with "PO" or a Becker/Blaupunkt prefix (e.g. PO1234567). Note it in full. Porsche mainly uses Becker and Blaupunkt radios in the PCM systems.
