The Jetta V and VI have an RCD 200, RCD 300, RCD 310 or RCD 500 radio with a VWZ serial number. After a wrong code you get "SAFE" on the display.
Remove the radio and read the VWZ serial number from the label on the side or back of the unit.
Remove the radio with release keys or a Torx T20 screwdriver
Find the label on the side or back of the radio
Note the full serial number (starts with VWZ)
Enter the serial number when placing your order
Enter the received code with the preset buttons
You only have 2 attempts — after that "SAFE" appears and you must wait 1 hour with the radio on
A Jetta with RNS or Discover Media touchscreen usually does not ask for a code
